The MSM law is a real thing, believe it or not. I have this law plastered on my body as I am cloaked in the law. This law basically says that I cannot donate blood because I’ve had sex with another man. But if any straight sexually active person wants to donate blood they can. When I went to donate blood it was a huge slap in the face to me. I was trying to help somebody in need of clean healthy blood that I have, and I just ended up getting chastised for being a homosexual. As you look at the photo I want you to feel the pain I have to endure on a day-to-day basis, of how I can’t do things because I am not society’s definition of a normal human being.

This is powerful. I’m a gay man, and a regular blood donor: I lie during screenings because I know my blood is clean, and regardless, all blood donations are tested for Chagas disease, Hepatitis B and C, HIV types 1 and 2, Human T-Lymphotrophic virus, Syphilis, and West Nile Virus. Sexually active heterosexuals can donate blood without any issue, so why can’t I? My blood is type O-, universal cell donor. Since 2008, I’ve donated blood some thirty times, and I’m scheduled to donate again in a few weeks. My blood donations have probably saved some lives— but had I been truthful during pre-screening, someone out there might not be alive today.

The MSM law is bullshit, and it’s time that we take steps to repeal it.
